TAKE A LOOK AT CHULA!! ****ADOPTED****

5/5/2016 chulaChula just had her second birthday. She’s been in our program for 4 months now. She is a chi/rat terrier mix that weighs 7 lbs. Sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, current on heart worm/flea preventions. She came from PBC ACC to our program. She was an owner surrender. We’ve learned much about Chula in her stay. She loves to play with toys, hunt in the bushes for anything that may be lurking, could run with another dog until they can’t run anymore. She is in a foster home with 5 senior dogs who finds her to be a pest. Chula isn’t completely house trained because of mixed signals in the home. She needs a family that could get her out often to do her business before playing or getting side tracked. The senior dogs in the home use a pee pad so she does too. She loves to cuddle/kiss/run/play/jump/hunt in the bushes/go for walks/sun herself in a yard. I would not put her in a home with small kids as if they run she’s on their heels. Chula would do well with a medium to larger dog.. she tries too hard with smaller dogs (5-15 lbs) and comes off as being bossy. With guidance she could be an absolutely fabulous dog. Email on her behalf. bighearts4pawsrescue@yahoo.com

LETS GET SIERRA ADOPTED!!

5/4/16  MEET SIERRA. Sierra came to us from a high kill shelter with her babies in 2014. She was a wonderful mother and all her babies have been adopted. Sierra unfortunately had heartworms when we took her in. We have spayed her and she finished the heartworm treatment program back in 2014. Sierra is housebroken. We did a DNA test on her and it said she is a Boxer/Greyhound mix. She is a wonderful dog who loves just hanging around the house lazing on the couch.  She gets along well with the other dogs in the house but I do not know about cats. Sierra is about 9-10 years old. She has had a broken jaw at one point in time that was not attended to and half of her bottom teeth are missing. We believe she was used as a hunting hog dog and not cared for. She has scars and tags all over her body but all her hair has grown back! YAY! She came to us with hardly any hair. She will need a home that loves her dearly and can show her lots of love as she has lots to give back! Sierra has been in our foster program for 1 1/2 years now… Please let it be her time to find her furever family! She so deserves it!
If you are interested in Sierra, or any of our dogs/puppies, please email us at BigHearts4PawsRescue@yahoo.com
Our dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccines/deworming, microchipped, heartworm free and given heartgard and have flea/tick prevention applied.
Our adoption donation is $150.00 for our adults. Adopting a dog is a lifetime commitment. Are you ready for a new found friend?

THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGAN :BIG HEARTS 4 PAWS RESCUES 13 DOGS WITH THE AID OF LOCAL PILOT SCOTT SHIELDS

The animals were rescued from the Grand Bahama Humane Society, just 80 nautical miles west of Palm Beach County. The shelter recently had a successful spay/neuter clinic sterilizing hundreds of animals but also were on the receiving end of over 100 puppies being surrendered by the public or humanely trapped. Our visit to the shelter was a true eye opener. Big Hearts 4 Paws had a hard time making decisions on which animals we could take and help. We chose a pregnant mom dog that will be ready to deliver shortly in the comfort of a home environment vs a concrete cell or worse and our 12 new puppies are a variety of colors/sizes/ages. The pups will be looking for homes in the near future. We need more foster families and foster homes, plain and simple. If you would like more information on any of the animals shown in the photos please email us! Our message from the animals to the public…Volunteer/Foster/Adopt… Adopt/Foster/Volunteer.
